Starting Sunday, September 8th we will be taking a walk through Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. This letter covers a vast array of themes and contains some of the most well known “memory verses” of Paul’s letters. But do those verses so many Christians memorized really mean what we think they mean? And how do they fit with the rest of this letter? Are we catching everything Paul offered to his friends in Philippi? We will hear what Paul shared with this persecuted but faithful group of followers of Jesus Christ, and how we too can live a life of fruitful mission and know Christ in his suffering and victory.
“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ”
